Awesome Boy

I made this card for a boy who is sick a likes to receive get well cards. His name is Thomas and you can find all about him on Dustin Pike Blog. The image is Skater Boy from Designed 2 Delight. I have colored it with my color pencils. I loved this image, but I am disappointed with the result. There is a long story behind it. Anyways I mite make something else with it to overcome my disappointment.

I have embossed the image to give it some dimension. The decorative paper is from Hallmark, the green paper is normal colored printer paper. I have outlined different layers with white permanent marker. The sentiment is a freebie by E.T. And the purple rounds that you see are embossed stickers from my stash.

Get Well Soon (For Dylan)

I made this card for Dylan, a ten year old suffering from inoperable tumor :(. This card call was called by Dustin Pike. So here is my entry. I have already mailed out the card but didn't get time to post it because blogger was acting funny, thats why I am doing it now. I hope he likes the card. My sister took an image of this and set it as a wallpaper on her I-Phone, her friends loved it so much that they were ready to break their leg to get this as a get well card :) lol.

Ok now for the card, the digi stamp is from Sliekje Stamps. She is a very talented lady and offers wonderful stamps for free :). the image is colored by my color pencils. The get well balloon is joined with colored twisted wire :). I have given a rough look to the purple card stock, did Faux Stitching and added dots with a silver pen to give a finished look.

Both the backing papers are from my Stash. Have tied a bow with two ribbons. It was a tricky job though and took loads of time to keep it in place, but it was worth it :).

The sentiment is computer generated.

This is the main sentiment of the card, a prayer offered by tlc. I just like it a lot.

And this is the Sentiment I have already used on the top of  the card. I am planing to enter it in a few challenges, but for now I need to run and do some chores :).

Thinking Of You

I was trying so hard to enter this card earlier but so many issues arised that I couldn't and from last 1 hour blogger was having issues. So before anything happens again, I am entering it and then will add the details later. Oh but lemme tell you that this is specially for Designed to Delight and the image is there freebie :) for a progressive challenge.

So now i am back after 2 days to add details. Had a rough time with blogger, first it didn't let me post, then it deleted my post and now its still not publishing my comments :(. So Meredith and Kevin I am sorry for your comments not being published, though I tried so much :(.

Ok so now for details. The image is a freebie from Designed to Delight for a progressive challenge. I have colored it with my normal color pencils, the backing paper is from my stash. The Sentiment is an internet download. I have outlined the paper with different colors to give it a finished look. Added some Rhinestones to give a little bling. Later on i even colored the sentiment but didn't get the time to take a picture so I mite add some later.

Slow And Steady Wins The Race (My First Side Bookmark).

I had plans of making this since a long time when I first saw them but Couldn't, so when I saw the challenge on Meljens, I said to myself, this is the time I better start with corner bookmarks :).

I had to make these for my Sister and her friend, they were really sick of holding the pages off their huge medical books with paper clips so they wanted something which was easy to use and handy.

My sister loved it and she was not letting go of it, even for me to take a picture and upload it on my blog :) . I had to enter this in to Meljens Challenge so I couldn't come up with something very fancy as my other card for Mother's day was also underway :).

As this is a Night time picture so its not very nice. I mite add the other ones if I am able to get that Bookmark out of my sister's hands :) heheh (she has it on her pharma book).

The image is an internet download, colored with normal color pencils. I have added some white and green pearl paint on it to give it a glossy look. Was planing to lacquer it but didn't had much time for drying it. The Sentiment is Computer generated and have added rhinestones to give a little bling :).

Mom You're very special

This card is made for my lovely Mommy for Mother's Day, according to the Color Challenge given by Play Date Cafe. And I love the way it has turned out :).

I dont know where to start from, so I think, I will make it simple. There were three colors provided and I tried to be fair with all three with the usage, though had many thoughts about using lime as background, but I finally did and em happy about it. :)

The flowers, swirls and butterflies are all hand drawn and cut and then later on glittered. I added Rhinestones to make the empty space look complete.

The flowers and the butterflies are outlined with a silver marker to make them stand out. I have added the close ups to give a better look of everything :).

I have embossed everything to give the card a lively look and this was the most difficult part because there was something wrong with my adhesive and it wouldn't hold the flowers nor the butterflies till I applied and dried the first layer of glue and then held on the flower in its place fer a long time after applying the second layer of the adhesive :(.

I hope you guys like it as much as my Mommy liked it. She had her mouth hung open after she saw it. Even my Dad, brother and kid sister loved it. I was so happy that my mission was accomplished.
