For my Special Angel

Finally i got to put up new pics of this card. Made this according to a sketch and some other requirements of an angel too. It says for my special angel :). lets start with the card, the image and the sentiment is computer printed and i colored it with my water color pencils. I have embossed the image a little before mounting it on the red card stock which i have cut with my fancy scissors to give it lace kind of border.

The pink card stock has flowers I found in a crafts store long time back and the swirls are made from stick ons and they also come from a craft store.

A Flowery Birthday

I am back with Pastel colors after a long time :). my friends were asking me to do something with pastel shades, so here i am with my card according to Woodware's sketch.

This card really took a long time cus all the flowers n butterflies are hand drawn n cut, and so are the oval shapes plus the scallop. Only the circles on the Turquoise strip are the result of single hole punch.

The sentiment is computer printed. If anyone plans on making something like this make sure you have loads of time and stamina :). Hope you guys like it :).

You are my Lucky Charm

Made this card for my friend, she wanted something simple and cute so i didn't do a lot on this one . The image is from one of my wrapping sheet, I embossed it a little and used a little embossing paste and glitter over the star to enhance it a little. The strips are of  yellow printer paper and glittered their top and bottom to make them stand out from the olive card stock.

I also made an envelope with to go with it. the image on the envelope is also embossed to go with the card. The image is not doing justice to the card as it makes it look slanted, but in real this is not the case. i have entered this card in to A beary project challenge at Crafty Creations.

A Beary Birthday (My First Easel Card)

My very first try at an easel card. I saw many beautiful easel cards online but could never bring myself up to the point of making one myself. Then one day while surfing the net I came across the exact measurements of the easel card by one of the blogger, and at the same time my sister asked me to make a birthday card for her friend, I got the perfect opportunity of making one because it was now or never for me.

I would like to thank all those people who have mentioned the measurements of the Easel card on their blogs or websites, because it has made it easy for people like me to try something different and beautiful :).

Lets start from the image. I found it online and thought it was perfect for the birthday wish. Colored it with markers and water color pencils. Add in some glitter to brighten it up because I used bright colors and multiple layers for the card due to my sister's demand :). The image is raised a little to make it stand out a little.

The tiny flowers are handmade, added a little drop of glitter to them. It was really hard cutting and raising up such tiny things, but it was worth it :). The butterfly, swirl and hearts are similarly handmade and then glittered.the birthday scallop on the upper right is handmade (that explains it being uneven) where as the sentiment is printed and I outlined it to give it an edge.

The scallop at the base of the card is printed and raised for the embossed effect. The candy on the scallop is an embossed sticker from a craft store. And the image has come out a little tilted I have no idea why?

I liked it a lot with all its flaws, but I am waiting for your experienced advice. Please feel free to comment, because that would help me improve.

Happy Birdie

The is the first card which i wanted to post on my blog. I want to enter a challenge and for that i need to have a blog. I dont know how to make it look fancy, but i sure will learn to do all kinds of stuff with it. but for now simply a birthday card for the challenge. Hope you guys like it keeping in mind that i am new to blogging :).

I used a digi stamp for this card which i found on internet. The scallop is handmade and i used pearl paint over it to give a little glittery effect to it. The gift is also an image that i found online and i colored it with my markers. the candy is hand drawn.

The birthday wish is printed and the images are raised a little to give it an embossed look. I also used a ribbon to take care of that empty corner on the upper rite side of the card.
